In early June, a few members of the Fashion Hazard team were given the awesome opportunity to exhibit at the E3 Expo in sunny Los Angeles, CA. Now, for those of you who aren’t familiar with E3, allow me to break it down for you. This annual event, owned by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), consists of 3 short days when computer and gaming companies congregate to showoff their newest and hottest products set to hit the markets within the coming year. The Expo is jam-packed with music, interactive fun and demos from big names like SEGA, EA Games, Microsoft and GameStop.
This year, expo halls were flooded with tens of thousands of attendees a day. Celebrities like Snoop Dogg and Danica Patrick were among the masses. Our booth was located in the far end of the South Hall, a perfect location for conversing with enthusiastic attendees and networking with industry professionals. We were able to give Expo-goers a sneak peak at the beginning stages of Fashion Hazard, receive feedback and gain some great exposure from AdWeek and Games.com for our company’s first attempt at gaming app development. I must say the outcome was better than we had ever hoped for. Male-oriented crowds were receptive and willing to demo our product, although its initial audience is intended for females of all ages. Our free buttons and chocolate Bling probably didn’t hurt either!
All in all, it was a successful trip. Hope we can make it back out there for E3 2013!
