1.What’s Fashion Hazard?

A new game especially for women and girls that lets you power the next fashion sensation. Put your best stiletto forward to power the next runway star…or end up a FASHION HAZARD.

2. Where is it available?

Fashion Hazard is available for iPhone, iPad and, now, NOOK…but stay tuned for news and updates

3. How Do You Play?

Download Fashion Hazard on the App Store (sm) or NOOK Store ™ for starters, then you will begin as Ellie Redburn, a model new to the NY fashion and runway modeling. Once the game starts, your goal is to get Ellie to make a runway round-trip before the clock runs out, without tripping, losing balance or becoming a catwalk casualty. Scoop up as much Bling as possible (that’s Fashion Hazard currency)while walking down the runway, avoid getting hit by flying objects and don’t fall! Once you’ve proven yourself in NY you’ll move on to the next city and so on until you complete all the cities as Ellie and you unlock a new more advanced model.

4. What’s the objective?

Earning Achievements by completing Challenges is the main objective. You want to complete the cities and continue to progress by unlocking new models. Once you complete all the cities and models you can start all over again, and updates are also planned, so stay tuned!

5. Anything else about playing the game that I should know?

In between each city as you move up, you can read a mini-story about your character to see how their lives and relationships to other characters develop. This is totally optional so if you’re just in it to play the cities and model packs, that’s totally cool too.

6. Does the game cost money to download?

Yes, On iOS (iPhone and iPad) The initial game download comes with two models, Ellie and Gabrielle their stories and outfits, and you can purchase additional model packs in the Boutique. Each of these purchases cost $.99 each. On the NOOK Store your purchase comes with all the available models, stories and outfits for one price  ($2.99).

7. Can I advance more quickly?

In addition to taking advantage of all your Challenges, staying alert to dodge, avert objects and earning Achievements, Power-Ups are the secret sauce to advancing in this game.

8. What is a Power-Up?How do I use them? Where do I find them?

Power-Ups are available in the Boutique and they instantly add special benefits and abilities to your model while they are walking and are sometime needed to earn Achievements. Redeem your Bling for them in the Boutique. We will gift you one each with your download and you get one chance to activate each Power-Up per walk, so use them wisely.

 9. Do I keep my Power-Ups when I change models?

Yes, the Power-Ups you buy are yours until you deplete them regardless of what model or city you are on. They become more important as difficulty increases so keep using Power Ups!

10. Who are the characters?

See all the characters listed here, and new characters are forthcoming, so check back here or make sure to keep your Notifications “ON” so you’ll be the first to know when there’s a new kid on the block.

11. What are the Achievements?

Achievements are rewarded when a Challenge is completed. Some are needed to move to the next city and move up in the game, other Achievements simply up your ranking, ( in Game Center, for example)and lead to more Achievements no matter what level you are in.

 12. I can’t figure out how to complete a city… what to do?

Check what Achievements need to be done to complete the city and when you start your next walk, work on those. HINT: Pay close attention! Some of the Achievements are tricky and don’t always reward being “perfect.”

 13. How do I pause a walk?

In the top right of the screen you can “Pause” a walk. From the pause screen you can see your current Challenges, mute music or sounds, restart your walk, go back to the level selection screen, unpause or calibrate the tilt.

14. I want to change the default speed, how can I do this?

From the pause screen, tap on the “Calibrate Tilt” button while at your preferred angle.

15. How do I find out more about the characters?

To read the backstory for characters you are playing, check your Level Selection screen. As you move through each city, you will also unlock mini-stories related to those characters and their journey. A complete listing and bio is available online.

16. Can I change models?

Once you unlock a model you can play it at any time. Because the models represent levels, you can only play them after you unlock that difficulty level.

17. What is Bling, what is it used for?

Bling is the game currency and it’s accumulated in your Bank. It’s used to redeem for Power-Ups in the Boutique, and Tickets to the next city.  You earn Bling by walking the runway.  For iOS (iPhone and iPad) users If you wish, you can also purchase Bling that is added to your Bank in the Boutique.

18. How do I reset the game?

From the Main Menu, tap on the In the settings icon, you can reset the entire game and start from the very beginning. You will not lose your Bling or any purchases you’ve made thus far.

19. What else can be purchased in-app? If I made in-app purchases, how do I restore my purchases?

Currently for iOS users only:  You can restore purchases by going to Settings.  If you made other purchases, like Ringtones or Wallpapers, these can also be restored.

20. I missed the Help screens, how can I see those tutorials again?

From the Main Menu, tap on the (?), or from the Settings screens, by tapping “Help.” From either of these places you can replay the Help screens and swipe through anytime you wish.

21. I have a customer service question, who do I contact?

Go to our Contact Us form and fill out the form. We will respond to you shortly.

22. Do I need to be online to play?

Nope. Once you have the game on your device, you can play anytime.

23. I bought the app, but it hasn’t downloaded. Help.

Games can take a little bit of time to download, so be patient. Being on wifi helps, if that is possible. If you still are experiencing problem, Contact Us
